Text: Luke 2.1-20
In a nondescript backwater town, in a stall built for the shelter of animals, with almost the entire world completely unaware, a child is born to a couple far from their hometown. We celebrate it today as Christmas.
Today, read the Christmas story in Luke 2.1-20. Use the King James Version, for no other reason than it seems to fit the occasion.
If you have small children—or big children who remember Christmases gone by—watch Linus recite these verses in “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Because, after all, “That’s what Christmas is all about.”
