Text: Acts 11.25-26
When we’re in a place we never expected or wanted, our first reaction might be to “go it alone.” Because we’re embarrassed, want people to think we’ve got it all together, or because of pride, we’re tempted to “tough it out” on our own. But God hasn’t equipped us to handle everything on our own—we need each other.

That’s one of the reasons why God established the church, likened it to a “body,” and why it’s so important. In the same way Barnabas needed Saul (who was extremely well-educated and probably an outstanding teacher), we need each other to navigate successfully through life’s whitewater. In areas we’re weak, others are strong.

Today, confess to God those times you’ve gone it alone instead of asking for help. Claim his forgiveness as you seek the help you need. If you are unsure where to turn, contact us at btw@adabible.org and we’ll start a conversation.
