Pastor Jeff Manion encourages you to find your calling and begin the slow and steady work of building a legacy. Dependable and faithful people don’t just happen.
Learning a new skill set requires practice, coaching of some sort, or investing in a seminar. Additional responsibility in the workplace requires initiative, development of your skills, and trustworthiness.Cultivating a servant’s heart requires intentional and consistent offerings of your time and resources. Developing a trustworthy reputation demands devotion to menial tasks that show others we can be counted on.
Faithfulness is not a result of trudging through life, but seeking opportunities to bring our skills, gifts, and discipline to what is in front of us.
Over the next six weeks, we’ll explore, learn, and grow in this challenging area of faithful living by working through the book, Dream Big, Think Small. To dream big, think small is to pay close attention to the daily habits and routines that lead to a slow and steady journey through life that culminates in a dramatically faithful legacy.
Turn to page 34 of Dream Big, Think Small and answer the following question, “To what or whom are you deeply committed?” Make a list of family members, church opportunities, or work goals that require your passion and excellence. Commit to ramping up your devotion and applying your gifts and abilities to these people, a cause of some sort, or your work.
