It can take a long time to build a strong relationship or reputation, but we all know someone who had his or her life blown up because of a moral failure. Maybe it even happened to you.
It’s unlikely anyone goes into marriage thinking they’re going to wreak an inordinate amount of pain upon those closest to them. Yet it seems to occur on a regular basis. It often happens because, as Pastor Jeff Manion says in the sermon clip below from the weekend services, we fail to master the mundane. Instead, we begin looking for affirmation and an emotional connection, taking it wherever we can find it—even in the wrong place. These relationships can be dangerous and we must be vigilant to assess what is really going on.
Today, consider if you are in possible danger. What “innocent” relationships could escalate and cause heartache? On page 162 of Dream Big, Think Small write a prayer to God, asking him to remove any blindness and give you courage and strength to back away from those relationships.
