 John 20.30-31

As we conclude the sermon series, Reason to Believe, we need to ask some challenging questions. Are you a skeptic still exploring the faith? If so, we hope this series has helped to answer some of your questions. Are you a believer in the process of abandoning your faith? We encourage you to keep following and keep trusting. Or has your faith become “old and cold?” We trust what you’ve encountered these past six weeks has reignited what was once hot and vital.

John’s reason for writing his gospel is just as critical now as it was then, “…that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

It could be a new belief, a re-engaged belief or a re-energized belief. No matter where you’re at—God calls you to believe. Maybe for the first time or maybe at a deeper level. He calls you to believe as former atheist and investigative reporter Lee Strobel did on November 8, 1981.

I talked with God in a heartfelt and unedited prayer, admitting and turning from my wrongdoing, and receiving the gift of forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus. I told him that with his help I wanted to follow him and his ways from here on out.” ~ Lee Strobel, The Case for Christ
