TODAY’S MESSAGE
Words are powerful. There is something incredible about giving or receiving the right words at the right time. King Solomon, the author of Proverbs, knows timely words can be the difference between pushing us forward or dragging us down.
All of us have key people in our lives who inspire us at pivotal moments and influence the course of our life. It might be parents, teachers, friends, coaches, mentors or family members who have our ear. Similarly, for better or for worse, our words can impact the people we live, work and hang with.
An important question to ask as we wrap up The Power of Words is, “How do I say the right words at the right time?” Proverbs answers by showing us the powerful influence of encouraging words. This week we will see that gentle, wise and uplifting words are used by God, who knows what we need at any given time.
IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY
God was, is and will be at work in our lives through words spoken at the right time. Think of two or three positive moments when the right words made a significant impact in your journey. Thank God for the people who spoke those words. Then ask him to make your words to others timely and positive.
