TODAY’S MESSAGE

Jesus’ entrance into the world couldn’t be contained to just Bethlehem. Wise men from the east discern the arrival of a new king and trek across the barren landscape to see him. When they find themselves face-to-face with Jesus, they bow down and worship him. Grown men journeying a far distance to worship a child. It doesn’t really make sense, but these men recognized something unique about this child—and didn’t want to live their lives without meeting him.

Jesus is unique. He’s God come down to earth to live among us. Just like the wise men, we must choose what to do with Jesus today.

This past weekend we sang the song Joy to the World. One of the lines states, “Let earth receive her king. Let every heart prepare Him room.” That’s what God calls us to do with the uniqueness of Jesus—receive him as king and prepare him room in our hearts.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Reflect on whether you’ve received Jesus as king and given him your heart. If that’s something you have put off, there’s no good reason to wait. Jesus came to earth for you. If you have questions, we’d love to connect with you. Please send us an email to btw@adabible.org.
