TODAY’S MESSAGE

Moses has had enough and melts down. The weight of the situation gets to him. He feels like he just can’t carry it anymore. He can’t deal with the stress and expectations. Moses tells God how he is feeling in a raw, unfiltered prayer. Here we see one of the pillars of the Bible succumb to the pressure of the situation.

Instead of scolding Moses, God provides for his needs by giving him people to help carry the burden. God does the same for us through our church community. We also can be part of God’s provision when we help carry the load of others. God may have already provided us the relationships we need to carry the weight of our situation right now. His provision is us staying relationally connected to those people. Or, maybe his provision is through a new group of people he wants to connect us to now. God gives Moses people, and he wants us to have community too.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Engage God and each other. Recommit to regularly meeting virtually as a small group. If you aren’t in a small group, sign up to join a new The Way of the Wise Small Group. You’ll connect with others and discuss the new sermon series that starts after Easter.
