TODAY’S MESSAGE

We wrap up this week learning even more about who Jesus is and what it means to follow him.

Who is Jesus? He moves through the marketplace without fear of becoming unclean. He is the sinless Son of God who has the power to make all who come to him clean. He heals the sick with the touch of his hem. He holds power and authority over sickness. He casts out a demon from afar, showing his divine power over darkness. He is fully man and fully God. Jesus gives us a preview of God’s Kingdom.

What does it mean to follow Jesus? He calls us to come to him and believe who he is. He renovates our imagination as we repent and turn away from our sin and selfish way of life. As we let go of our human traditions and cling to his words, Jesus reshapes our thought life and hearts’ desires to match his. We realize we’re forgiven to forgive. Healed to be a healer. Rescued from darkness to bring his light. Given resources to build his kingdom rather than ours. Blessed to bless others. We seek to serve rather than be served. No facet of our lives remains unchanged as we enter the company of Christ.
