TODAY’S MESSAGE

Michigan or Michigan State. Calvin or Cornerstone. There are numerous great schools in Grand Rapids and in Michigan. No matter what elementary, high school or college we graduated from—we’re all enrolled in one school called The School of Contentment. It’s an education for the characters and authors of the Bible over and over. For the next six weeks, we will look at some of the key lessons.

Just like any other school, what we get out of it is up to us. We can emerge from the school of contentment with a renewed focus on contentment grounded in God, or we can complain our way through 2021 always waiting for something better. Some of us may feel we’re living pretty comfortably, and so this series isn’t for us right now. Kind of like a high schooler trying to figure out when they will actually need algebra. But God’s teaching on contentment is for all of us—especially right now.
