TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

But as he left, he promised, “I will come back if it is God’s will.” Then he set sail from Ephesus. Acts 18:21

Read: Acts 18:21-28
Listen:
Acts 18

TODAY’S MESSAGE

Paul leaves Ephesus hoping one day to return. In God’s timing, Paul’s work in this city will significantly impact the church for generations to come. But Paul is still in the delay as we close this week. He doesn’t know if and when God will enable him to make the most of the opportunity he sees in Ephesus.

Take time to review pages 15-19 in the Jesus & The City journal. On page 16, reflect on a major takeaway from the sermon. Look for how God is already working in our lives in this area. On page 17, review the small group prayer requests and conversation notes. Commit to praying for your small group throughout this series and ask God to use our church to use their common tasks and gifts for uncommon, faithful lives. On pages 18-19, review your prayers and journaling from this week. Give thanks to God for what he’s taught us and ask him to prepare our hearts for what he has for us as we continue this sermon series.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Praise God for giving you gifts to use in his service and that you can play a part in the work he is doing in your city and around the world.
