TODAY’S MESSAGE

Our 26 DAYS OF GRATITUDE is now complete. If we followed along, we might have 78 boxes in our handout filled with things for which we’re grateful. We see food enjoyed, people who made a difference in our lives, experiences we’ve shared and even trials and challenges.

Our goal over the past 26 days is much more than making sure we fill all the boxes. Listing three things each day develops a gratitude practice. Focusing daily on God’s goodness allows gratitude to push out things like bitterness, complaint, envy and jealousy. Taking time every day to meditate on what God provides is a worthwhile habit.

Although the 26 DAYS OF GRATITUDE is officially complete, the “days of gratitude” should just be starting. Continue to journal, with the Scriptures open, three grateful things. See what a difference this makes in your holiday season and new year.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Write down the three things for which you’re grateful. Use these, and all you’ve written over the past 26 days, as the basis of a prayer of gratefulness to God.
