Hebrews 10

TODAY’S MESSAGE

Jesus provides for our restored relationship with God. Through his life, death and resurrection, we can boldly enter God’s presence with confidence that we are forgiven and welcomed. We have the privilege each day to be present with God. The Holy Spirit, the very presence of God, dwells in each of us who have invited Jesus into our lives as Savior.

Being present with God requires our intentional focus on him. Maybe we hike through the woods praising his creativity as we inhale the scent of fresh pine and hear squirrels chatter and the wind blowing through the branches. Or we recall memorized Bible verses throughout the day as the Spirit makes it come alive, relating it to our lives and helping us grow more like Christ. Perhaps we worship him through song, offering words back to God praising who he is and what he has done. We can be with God through an intentional time to sit unhurried with his words, pray and journal. We can be present with him in community with other believers sharing his word and working together.

God has gone to great lengths to make a way to be present with us through Jesus. We honor that sacrifice as we go out of our way to make intentional time to be present with him.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Take time to be present with God in worship today as the Ada Worship team sings, “Echo Holy.” Join in giving these words back to God in praise of who he is and what he has done to be present with you. “Holy is the Lord; my heart can’t help but sing with all of heaven roar forever echo holy is the Lord.”
