TODAY’S MESSAGE

The story of God desiring to dwell with us is throughout the entire Bible. It begins in the garden and ends with heaven. At the center of this story is Jesus. He was there when the world was created (John 1:1), and he became a man to die in our place to restore the relationship lost in the Garden of Eden. His death made way for people lost in sin to be reunited with God (Romans 5:1-2). When Jesus comes a second time, everything that is messed up and wrong with our world will be made right as God restores and recreates earth to make his final dwelling place with us.

Only those who accept Jesus’s generous gift of salvation, to be forgiven and cleansed through his sacrifice on the cross, will dwell with God for eternity. “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city (Revelation 22:14).” God longs for this. He invites everyone to “wash their robes” through Jesus.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

As we begin 2022, commit to putting Jesus in the center of your life. Pray for others to hear the Gospel message and respond. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Savior, ask God for opportunities to share your personal story with someone you know who hasn’t responded to his sacrifice. If you haven’t accepted Jesus’s free salvation gift, let’s chat. We would like to answer your questions and support you in any way. Email us at btw@adabible.org.
