TODAY’S MESSAGE

Peter tells the early Jesus-followers in Rome some crucial truths. He tells them that if they live the way God created them, people will notice. Treating others properly will make them stand out. Truly making Jesus the Lord of their life will cause people to ask questions about why they live that way.

This is valid today. Our series called us to be a community that cares for each other in ways unlike any other group. We’re told to bless others and not curse them, even those who do us harm. We’ve learned it isn’t our job to make sure God wins or defend him but to have the right attitude and treat others well when we talk about Jesus. We talked about being called to surrender our sexuality to God. And we’re to treat those in authority with honor. In total, these are all part of THE QUESTIONABLE LIFE. When we follow Peter’s instructions, we will live in such a way that people will ask, “Why do you do that?” When that happens, the door is open to tell them about Jesus.
