TODAY’S MESSAGE

We read the whole region hears about Jesus. God is up to something through Ephesus. Ephesus isn’t just about Ephesus, but about the entire Roman province of Asia and even the whole world. God’s heart for the world is so expansive that he doesn’t just want a city to come to know him. He wants the world to be filled with people who know and love him. Jesus came to earth to fix the broken relationship between God and people. He came so people could live the way God created them to live. God’s taking the good news of Jesus and partnering with Paul to bring it to the world.

Jesus & The City is a series that helps us see God moves in Ephesus and God is moving today. This week we’ve seen some key factors in spiritual growth. Our spiritual growth as individuals and as a community often comes down to how we do these things. Plans matter. We are more likely to grow when we have plans than if we don’t. Our attitude matters, so we won’t grow if we aren’t willing to admit we are wrong. Sticking with it matters, so growth naturally results when we develop the habit of trusting God when life is difficult. God’s moving and wants us to join him. Leaning into these things opens up the possibility for breakthrough growth.

IN YOUR CHAIR TIME TODAY

Worship the great God who is moving in your life and community through the song, “What a Beautiful Name.” As you worship, thank God for moving in your life when you get to the lyrics that remind us that God “didn’t want heaven without us.”
